Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels...

My favorite thing this week is this recipe for Cinnamon Crescent Rolls! Monica at The Homespun Heart posted her recipe and picture here (scroll down to see them), and she was right - they are really easy and really delicious!
If you have Pillsbury Crescent Rolls in your fridge (and if you don't, you can pick them up at Publix this week for $1.32/each using this coupon), these are a yummy treat with other ingredients that you probably already have on hand.
Cinnamon Crescent Rolls
1 Can Crescent Rolls
Melted Butter
Brown Sugar
Cinnamon
Chopped Pecans
  • Open crescent rolls and lay flat on a cutting board or baking pan.
  • Spread a thin layer of butter over dough.
  • Sprinkle desired amount of brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans over dough.
  • Roll into crescents and place in greased baking dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for around 15 minutes.
  • Drizzle powdered sugar glaze over the top
Variations:
  • If you want to Paula-Deen-ize this recipe (my term for "fatten recipes up" - feel free to use it!) you can add a little bit of cream cheese to each triangle of dough before rolling them into crescents. No telling what the fat content is on these y'all, but like Paula says - "I'm your cook, not your doctor!".
  • For bite size servings, just cut each triangle in half before rolling them up - you'll have twice as many crescents.
What's your "Favorite Thing" this week?

Every Tuesday, I post about one of my favorite things, and you can too! Here's how:
1) Post about something that you are thankful for. It can be something that makes your life easier, more beautiful, more delicious or more fun - something that you just love!
2) Please remember to include a link in your post back to Fiddledeedee.
3) Post a link to your Favorite Things post in the box below!
4) If you don't have a blog but have a favorite thing to share, please comment!
