So ... Publix takes competitors coupons (ie: Kroger specific coupons)?

S Winfrey,
Yes, they do take competitor Q's!

The specific competitor Q's they'll accept does vary from store to store depending on who the "competitors" are in the area. Just ask at the customer service desk and they should be able to tell you what they'll accept. Happy shopping!

Sarah-
I'm a newby to the blog, but I love it b/c I love Publix and need to save on groceries, but thought I would have to shop somewhere else to do it. Thanks for the tips! I'm struggling with finding competitor coupons and making the sales work for what I need. Any suggestions of how you make it work would be great. Thanks for the help so far!

Katie,

For competitor coupons, you can start online at places like afullcup.com (target and food lion Q's). If you have other grocery stores in your area that you can swing into easily, you can pick up any coupon booklets or even store ads, which sometimes contain coupons.

Regarding making the sales work for what you need: I find that:

1) "Stockpiling" works for me. I hate to use that word because it sounds strange to me! For instance,we go through several jars of pasta sauce each month, so when I get a great deal on pasta sauce at Publix (like BOGO with coupons), I will buy quite a few at a really low price. This way I won't have to buy it again until there is another truly great deal, and I'm not running out of things.

2) If you're into organic products and foods, there are many resources for coupons (check out my Organic Friday posts!), and Publix is offering more and more organic items (and sales on those items) all the time it seems.

Does this help at all? Please comment or email me if I can help in any way.

Thanks for your comment, and for stopping by!

Thx for all the help. I wouldn't be saving this money without your hard work.

Great deals! My Publix only takes competitor coups if they have a store nearby, but we still manage to get some good deals.

I found this blog after I had written my post, so the link I have mentions my deals at more than just Publix. I hope that is ok!

Thanks for the chance to win some coupons :)
